What are the new psychosocial regulations?

Victoria has introduced psychological health regulations that require employers to protect workers from psychosocial hazards such as stress, bullying, aggression, fatigue and excessive job demands. These are enforceable laws that apply to all businesses.

What is a psychosocial hazard?

A psychosocial hazard is any factor at work that could cause psychological harm. Examples include unreasonable workloads, role ambiguity, poor support, bullying, aggression or constant change without consultation.

What happens if I do not comply?

Non-compliance can lead to enforcement action, fines, increased injury claims, higher insurance costs and damage to staff wellbeing and culture.

Will staff be anonymous when raising concerns?

Yes. Protecting psychological safety is core to Worry Safe. Staff can raise concerns safely while you receive insight into patterns and risks.

Does this apply to small businesses?
